Jaime and Dan 08-11-12 (Stephanie)

With all of the weddings we've been busy with at GJE this season, it's no wonder the blog has fell behind! Jaime and Dan had a fabulous wedding at Jaime's parents house on the lake. Although the weather leading up to their big day was cold and rainy, the sun finally came out that day and it was the perfect temperature for their outside wedding.

Decorating and furniture rental was from Deep Drama Design Labs

Jaime wanted the tent to feel like a lounge and I definitely think the furniture and multiple seating areas really brought this feeling to life
Each table had a different centerpiece. Guests weren't assigned seats but were free to sit and mingle wherever on the property they wished, whether in the tent or at a table down by the dock

I loved the little pops of color the flowers in mini vases set around the seating area provided. I also loved all the family wedding day photos that were placed around!

Jaime and Dan got married right down by the water. It was such a peaceful and gorgeous spot.

DJ Jonathon Hennings kept the dance floor packed all night and definitely kept the party going. I left after midnight and so many guests were still dancing, they were having so much fun they didn't want to leave!

Other key vendors included A Pair of Photographers, Ceremony music by Robert Jones of Guitar Interludes, Cooking Up Good Taste, and the always wonderful to work with Veronica Kasler who did an amazing job on Jaime's hair.

Jaime and Dan and their families were so wonderful to work with. It was hard not to have a good time at their wedding, they definitely know how to have a great party!
Congratulations Jaime and Dan!

Kristen and Mac 7-28-12

Kristen and Mac had an amazing wedding. Their ceremony was as the U of M Stadium and their reception was as Stone Creek in Flat Rock. It's always a treat to work at Stone Creek, the staff is wonderful. Kristen was awesome to work with. I feel blessed that I have so many brides that trust me to coordinate their big day…many of which I don’t actually meet until the wedding day.

The Ceremony...What a perfect day!
The Reception all set up:
I loved that that everything coordinated with the U of M theme.
All Wrapped Up provided chair covers.
Flowers were provided by Silk Thumb.
Centerpiece 1:
Centerpiece 2:
I loved all of the little details…especially the “I Spy” cards. This was a fun activity for the guests.
 Card box
Again sticking with U of M colors. Kristy’s Cakes provided the cake and cupcakes. They were delicious!
 Yummy!

The gorgeous couple cutting the cake
Other key vendors included Sonik Entertainment who provided reception music. They did a great job keeping the dance floor packed all night long. Photobooth by Flash Box Photo…what guest doesn’t like a photobooth and the talented Kendra from Kendra Fay Photography. Check out some of the amazing pro pictures below.
Congratulations Kristen and Mac!

Lauren and Simon 7-21-12

Lauren and Simon had a beautiful afternoon ceremony and reception at Heritage Park in Canton. Lauren was a total DIY bride and I loved all of her ideas…you could defiantly tell she put a lot of time and energy to make her dream wedding come true.

The reception area before I rearranged the tables and started setting up:
Tables have been moved : ) And those tables are HEAVY, lol
 Ceremony time:
Love the letters on the tree
Here comes the bride!
Lauren and Simon had their ceremony under the gazebo. They had immediate family sit in the gazebo and the remaining guests stood around the gazebo. It worked perfectly.
Saying their vows
 The new Mr. and Mrs.!
 Escort table
Each guest wrote their well wishes or advice on a piece of paper then put it into the envelope.
After:

Sweetheart table
 Guest tables

Lauren made all the succulent centerpieces herself and the guests were able to take them as their favor.
 Menu cards.
Lunch was provided by Famous Dave’s catering. They were great to work with and the guest loved the food!
Mmmmmm...cupcakes! The Cupcake Station provided the delicious cupcakes.

Congrats Lauren and Simon!!!! It was so great to be part of your big day!

Andrea and Joey 7-14-12 (Stephanie)

Andrea and Joey had their ceremony in Joey's parent's cute, country backyard. They had their reception right down the road at Andrea's house. Both located in North Branch, the country setting went perfectly with their rustic, country theme. Lately, I've been in love with rustic-natural type wedding decor so I was so in love with Andrea and Joey's whole wedding. I really wish I had taken more photos as every detail was adorable!

Teemie's Country Blooms provided flowers. A family friend made the cake, and catering was provided by Northern Catering. Andrea and Joey's photographer was from Creative Images Photography.

A lot of the decor for the wedding was DIY. I love this old door that was used as a hanger for the escort cards.
A family friend put together the candy buffet. It turned out awesome!

The cake stand was a big piece of tree stump. The centerpieces also were a piece of tree stump, although smaller than this stand, that had a lace doily that was topped with a candle and four different size and type vases/bottles with different types of flowers and greenery in them. I loved them and the rustic look that went so well with the rest of the wedding decor and location!

They turned out very similar to this inspiration photo.

I loved the girls' dresses and the guys' suspenders!

Instead of a DJ or band, Andrea and Joey had dueling pianos. Dave from Piano Wars was so awesome to work with and the guests loved the dueling pianos! They were definitely unique and memorable and kept the guests dancing all night long, as well as a great alternative to a traditional band or DJ.

Andrea and Joey are such a happy-go-lucky couple and were such a pleasure to work with. It was hard not to catch onto their bubbly spirits and feel the love that not only they have for one another but that their friends and family have for them.

Congratulations Andrea and Joey. Thanks for letting Grand Jour Events be part of your special day!
