Rebecca and Nate 11-2-13

Rebecca and Nate had an AMAZING wedding! Just writing this blog and posting the pro pictures from SilverThumb Photography show all the planning and prep Rebecca did paid off. Everything was perfect. And by looking at the photos you would never believe that Rebecca actually wanted to elope! But if you’re going to do it might as well go big : )
If you notice the blog below I was at The Detroit Colony Club two nights in a row for weddings. I was spoiled! As you read in the last post I LOVE The Colony Club.

Here comes the bride.

Rebecca a team of great vendors. Cocktail hour music was provided by Kriz Kurzawa Band. Not cake for this bride and groom, they had pies and cream puff trees from Sweet Dreams. Transportation by The Detroit Bus Company, they are always great to work with.
Wayne from Rock Out Entertainment was great! This was my first time working with him but I hope to work with him again soon! As you can see from the picture below, he even brought glow sticks!

Congratulations Rebecca and Nate!

Natalie and Levi 11-1-13

Natalie and Levi were great to work with! They had a beautiful ceremony and reception at The Colony Club. Their ceremony was on the 4th floor followed by the reception in the 3rd floor. Both rooms are absolutely stunning. I have worked at The Colony Club a lot over the years and it is by far one of my favorite venues! The banquet managers are wonderful! The staff is amazing and the food is always perfect.

Other key vendors that helped make the big day perfect were DJ Josh Barker from Mike Staff Productions and Millennium Limo. If you are still looking for transportation make sure to contract them! They are by far one of the best limo companies around. They have clean vehicles and great prices. They also have great drivers. I have worked with a lot and from a recent personal experience driver Chuck is awesome : )

Congrats Natalie and Levi!

Natasha and Gerard 10-26-13

I work with a lot of out of state/county brides but Natasha and Gerard defiantly win for the furthest away. Natasha and Gerard live in Australia! All the planning made for a perfect wedding! The ceremony was at Martha-Mary Chapel at Greenfield Village with their reception at the Italian-American Banquet & Conference Center. Both great venues!
Lovely couple!

Kaylee and Brian 10-19-13

People are going to start to think our brides pay us to say how wonderful they are, lol! But once again I was extremely lucky to work with another great bride. Kaylee was so laid back and easy going. Her and Brian had a fabulous wedding.

 Great looking wedding party!
LOVE!
The reception was at Zuccaro’s banquet and catering. Linens by Sposa’s seating.
 The decor was amazing

It’s funny how sometimes the simplest things can be the most challenging : ) These centerpieces didn’t want to cooperate with me, lol. The water beads which were clear disappeared once we added water and we needed a lot of the beads to hold the branches down. Once filled with water beads and water we placed the floating candle on top. Well as the candle warmed up the water the beads expanded! They grow almost 3x the size, lol. Luckily GJE was on top of it and made sure we didn’t have any spill overs but  just as a precaution to brides to be…1-clear water beads disappear in water 2- heat makes them expand : )

They did look beautiful! I also loved the table numbers.
 Sweetheart table
Who needs cake? Pies from Achatz pies.
 Love the pie topper!
Bigfoot DJ keep the dance floor packed all night long.
Congrats Kaylee and Brian!

Michelle and Gary 10-12-13

Michelle and Gary had a fabulous ceremony and reception at the Belle Isle Casino. Michelle was such a blast to work with and her wedding was amazing.

What a way to make a grand entrance!
Perfect day for an outdoor ceremony. Canopy rented from GJE.
Michelle and Gary had a car themed wedding. Just look at these "escort cards". HOW FUN!
 Such a great idea.
The reception was on the first floor
Gary (G) and Michelle (M). Perfect initials for their car themed menus.
Flowers by Thrifty Florist . Everyone loved the table names.

Other key vendors included DSP Fotographie, The Detroit Bus Company and Dorsey Schools Culinary Academy. If you are looking for a catering company still make sure to check out Dorsey! They were amazing and the students were on top of everything. Rentals from C&N Rentals and alcohol from Oxford Beverages.
Congrats Michelle and Gary!
