Kendra and Kyle Mitchell 9-18-10

Kendra and Kyle were absolutely amazing to work with! Kyle and Kendra hired me for full planning 18 months ago. I remember our first meeting we went over their vision for their big day. After 18 months and countless hours helping plan their wedding I could not be happier with the final results!

They originally were going to have their wedding here in the area but decided last summer to move it near Kendra’s home town, Bad Axe. My first time going Bad Axe was earlier this year when I went with the couple to check out the new reception site. At that time everything was covered with snow but I learned over the last few days there pretty much isn’t anything but cornfields : )

Kendra and Kyle’s ceremony was held at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Bad Axe. The church was beautiful.
Kendra and Kyle after the ceremony.
There reception was at Hersel’s on the Bay in Casseville. Hersel’s has a small banquet room that holds about 105 but seeing how Kendra and Kyle had about 205 guests we had to use two rooms. There was the option to have a tented reception on the beach but they chose not to seeing how you never know what the weather will be like in September. And luckily it was held indoors as it was chilly and rainy.
Below you will see some before pictures.

Here is the restaurant dining room that was turned into a beautiful reception room that included the head table, immediate family and more seating for friends and family.

The banquet room

I headed to the “thumb” on Friday to set up the reception site. It took 6 hours but was worth every minute! After the 2 ½ hour ride I got home at 2 am.

Dining room after:
Linens were rented from Affordable Elegance. I picked them up, dressed the tables and chairs then returned them after the wedding. I was told by several workers and the owner that Kendra and Kyle had the most beautiful wedding ever held at the site!
The round tables had reserved seating for immediate family with simple centerpieces while the banquet tables were open seating and they had red rose centerpieces, tall and short. I am in love with the linens that were on the round tables!
The cake was also set up in this room
The cake was breathtaking! It was provided my K & K Catering.
Banquet room after:
Here is the view from the room.

In between the two rooms there was a bar area that I wanted to make feel more elegant. Here is a picture of the bar seating area that I dressed up.
By the main doors I covered the cash register area to make it match the décor. In the center is the unity candle from the ceremony.

Kyle and Kendra had great vendors from the Bad Axe area and from Metro Detroit.

Their photographer was Moments Captured by Vanessa and their videographer was Plum Soda Productions. Plum Soda Productions is located in Metro Detroit and they are awesome! They also have great prices. If you are thinking about hiring a videographer they will defiantly fit in your budget. Flowers were provided by Country Cottage Floral.

Thank you so much Kendra and Kyle for allowing me to bring your wedding vision to life. Congratulations, you two are the perfect couple!

Raeyanna and Matt 9-18-10

Thank you for letting GJE be part of your big day! Raeyanna and Matt's guests had a awesome time in the photo wall. One guests even said how he was bummed they already booked a photo booth because he loved the photo wall : )

The Bride and groom : )

Bethany and Ryan 9-11-10

I started my day by arriving at the reception site Halk Hallow in Bath to begin set up. My assistant stayed to set up while I headed to the ceremony site to check up on the bridal party. Bethany and Ryan’s ceremony was held at St. Luke Lutheran Church in Haslett.  Bethany had an amazing host and hostess that were able to pack up the reception items afterwards allowing me time to get back to the reception site and finish set up. Although I did not stay for the ceremony I  did notice the custom aisle runner which I loved!
Bethany reception was gorgeous! I loved her colors and all the little details.

I loved how the chair sashes crisscrossed in the front.
Bethany had 3 different types of centerpieces. They were simple yet classy and elegant. Sebesta Design created the centerpieces and provided all the flowers.
Bethany and Ryan’s table number were so creative. Each table had a different Lansing/MSU picture on it. There were over 25 tables so there were a lot of different photos.
Instead of having all the bridal party sit at the head table with them Bethany and Ryan had a sweetheart table. It was decorated beautifully!
I loved the flowers! They matched her colors perfectly.
The card box filled with their wonderful engagement pictures.
The guest book was filled with photos of the couple. I especially loved how Bethany mad the pens look like flowers : )
The cake was from the always amazing Tasty Layers. With Tasty Layers you get nothing less than perfection!
The Groom's cake.
I loved the bridesmaids dresses.
Bethany hired awesome vendors including Shutterspeed Productions as their videographer. Real Deal DJs who was great. I highly recommend you check out his site if you are still searching for a DJ and Two Ring Photography. Here is a preview shot below from their photographer. I know their pictures are going to be remarkable!
Bethany, Ryan and there guest had a blast in the photo wall. With 275 guests the photo wall was packed all night long. For more information on how you can have a photo wall at your event click here.
Congratulations Bethany and Ryan your wedding was amazing! Thank you for allow me to be part of it!

Linsey and Lars 9-4-10

Linsey and Lars had their ceremony and reception at the University Club – Henry Center in Lansing. Although it was a chilly Saturday Linsey and Lars braved the cold to have a lovely ceremony outdoors. I think they had the shortest ceremony I have ever seen. It was about 7 minutes long.  That’s my type of ceremony : )
The bridal party looked amazing along with the bride and groom.
The ceremony was immediately followed by the reception. Linsey has wonderful taste! I loved the black linens and the rectangle family tables in the center of all the round tables.  Linens were provided by Affordable Elegance who always do an amazing job.

Their table numbers were so cute. The table numbers had pictures of Linsey and Lars at the age of the table number. Below you will see a picture of Linsey and Lars at the age of 10.
The centerpieces were from Elements of Elegance and the bouquets were from Sebesta Design. I absolutely loved Linsey’s bouquet!
Unfortunately the centerpieces were falling apart when I arrived. Linsey’s dad picked them up from the florist and perhaps the centerpieces couldn’t handle the long drive but my assistant and I fixed them up and made them look much better.

Bride's bouquet above and Bridesmaids bouquet below.
Their cake was made by a family friend and was delicious! As a planner when I hear a family member or friend is making the cake I never know what to expect. I have seen many less than perfect cakes to say it nicely : ) but Linsey’s cake looked great and tasted a thousand times better. I’m not a huge cake person but I was in love!
They also had cupcakes which were a hit also.
Signature mat instead of the traditional guest book.
Card box with engagement photos.

The late night snack was yummy! They had nachos, popcorn, and soft pretzels along with some cookies.

DJ service was provided by Electic Horizons. They did a great job keeping the dance floor packed.
Their photographer was Jean Smith Photography who does amazing work. It was great to meet her and come to find out we only live about 5 minutes from each other. Here are some pictures I borrowed from her blog. To view more pictures visit her blog here.
Congrats Linsey and Lars! Your wedding was gorgeous and I am so glad the I got to be a part of it!

Below is Linsey’s review of GJE that she left on wedding wire. Thank you Linsey for the kind words!!!

"Tammara runs an amazing company and a top notch service for any bride!
She responded to my emails immediately, she had great vendor recommendations, she met with me and being an out of town bride it wasn't easy!
Her pricing is great and I would pay double!! I didn't have a single issue during the wedding, I walked in and commented everything looked amazing - she and her assistant even redid the centerpieces - she didn't tell me about the issue or anything it was just magically fixed! Then at the end of the night everything was packed up and amazing.
Honestly top notch service and vendor, I recommend Tammara to everyone!"
