We received a plaque from The Knot today!

I was surprised when I checked the mail today to see a package from The Knot. Of course I opened it as fast as I could and there was a plaque for being chosen as a top wedding professional in "The Knot Best of Weddings 2010".

Thank you so much to all my brides that voted for me! This is truly a honor!

I am also excited to announce that The Knot contacted me to be a part of their "Just Between Us story" to be featured in the Spring/Summer 2011 issue of The Knot Michigan. So keep an eye out for the new issue.

Flowers, Flowers, Flowers

I love EVERYTHING that has to do with weddings! With that being said I'm so excited to have the opportunity to expand my floral skills this summer… I will be creating bouquets and centerpieces for a wedding this August! I have assembled DIY floral centerpieces quite a few times for my brides over the last 2 years but now I get to do all the work from start to finish.

I will be sure to post pictures of my work. In the meantime if you know anyone looking for flowers on a budget please pass along my information. I would love to gain even more experience.

Amy and Joey 6-4-10

Amy and Joey mainly needed help with reception set up. My day started by arriving at Amy’s house to pick up all the items for the ceremony and reception. I then dropped all the ceremony items off at the ceremony site, St. George Lutheran Church. It's always a pleasure working with St. George church. They have a great church coordinator. She set up the ceremony items for me, allowing me the time I would need to set up the reception site.
The reception was held at The Inn at St. Johns in Plymouth. The Inn at St. Johns is absolutely gorgeous and it’s always a pleasure to coordinate or attend a wedding there. Set up including everything from table runners to centerpiece construction and everything in-between. There weren’t too many vendors as most of Amy projects were DIY. I didn’t get to many pictures as my battery on my camera decided to die but here are a few:

Flowers were purchased from Hartland Flowers for the centerpieces but the centerpieces had to be put together. This is a great way to save money! Hartland Flowers did create the bouquets. You can reach Hartland Flowers at 810-632-0632.

The cake was provided by a friend of the family. I loved how they had old family photos on the cake table.
DJ services were provided by Kerry Ferrarra. They also had Made in Italy which were 2 strolling musicians that played Italian music during dinner. They were wonderful and made you feel as if you were in Italy!

Photographer was provided by Jenn Webber. She was amazing! Here are some pictures of Amy and Joey from her blog:

Congratulations Amy and Joey!

Ufuoma and Geoffrey 5-16-10

Ufuoma and Geoffrey hired me the week before their wedding for day of coordination and I was excited to help. Ufuoma and Geoffrey had their ceremony and reception at Beacon Hills Golf Course in Commerce Township. They had the perfect day for an outside ceremony. Their Reverend, Rev. Gary D. Friske did an excellent job, He is located in West Bloomfeild, 248-636-6290.

The bouquets were provided my Wesley Berry.
Toss Bouquet

Bride's Bouquet
There was a lot of set up to complete for the reception but everything came together perfectly, especially the centerpieces.
Chocolate Favors. They had a picture of the bride and groom on them. Not only were they super sute but they tasted great too!
The chiavari chairs really pulled the look all together. Chiavari Chair Rental provided the gorgeous chairs. You can reach them at 734-709-0966.
The Baker’s Loaf provided the cake and like always the cake looked and tasted amazing.

Music was provided by Ani Entertainment. All I can say about this band is…”WOW”! They are by far the best band that I have seen at any wedding. I highly recommend you check out their website to see samples of their performances.
Thank you Ufuoma and Geoffrey for allowing me to be part of your big day! Your wedding was wonderful!
