Linda and Andrew 7-23-11

Linda and Andrew had their ceremony at Five Points Community Church in Auburn Hills. My assistant and I had a busy busy day : ) We started out the day by picking up the ceremony flowers from the florist, Yesterday Auburn Hills Florist. We took the flowers to Linda and picked up all the items that needed to be set up for the day. We then went and set up the church but we had to be out right away. This was at about 1pm and we couldn’t get into the reception site, The Rochester Community House until 4pm. The problem was we had almost 200 napkins that we had to pocket fold so the menus could be placed in them and nowhere to go. First thought was lets go to Starbucks but after driving to two Starbucks we discovered Rochester has the tiniest Starbucks ever : ) We eventually found a Caribou Coffee that had a nice large table…perfect for napkin folding. We only got a few strange looks and were asked what we were doing twice.
Once we were done folding napkins we went back to the florist and picked up the reception flowers then headed to the Rochester Community House to set up.

Who needs a limo! Loved their car : )
The centerpieces were really cute.
I loved the linens, they were provided by Linens and Beyond.

I loved how simple and elegant the cake looked. The cake was from Mannino Bakery.
 Loved all the little details
Other key vendors include hair and makeup by Posh Studio in Milford. Linda looked amazing!
Photographer was provided by J. Lynn Photography.  Jennifer was awesome to work with!  And DJ was provided by Davis Entertainment. The DJ, Chris did a fantastic job getting the guests up and dancing. Also catering was provided by La Premier Catering, Chef Loretta Curry. I just have to say the food was AMAZING!
Congratulations Linda and Andrew!

Juliette and Justin 7-22-11

Juliette and Justin had a wonderful wedding. They had their ceremony and reception at Plymouth Manor in Plymouth.

Before we get to the pictures I just want to say I didn’t have my camera so my assistant had to use her point and shoot camera. Unfortunately the lighting was crazy in the room so the pictures are far from great but I promise I am stalking their photographer Marci Curtis’ blog and when she post pictures I will make sure to share them on my blog : )  Marci was running around all night so I’m sure she got some great pictures!
Here are their escort vases. I loved the pink rose to match their wedding colors.
Cupcakes. Their cupcakes were super cute, provided by Dream Cakes.

Flowers were provided by Flowers By Lori Ltd
 The guest tables
 Loved the head table
Jon Margerum-Leys provided a 3 piece band for cocktail and dinner then provided DJ for dancing. They were wonderful to work with!
They also had a photobooth provided by Rock the Booth. They are always a pleasure to work with. If you’re looking for a great photobooth company contact Rock the Booth!

Congratulations Juliette and Justin!!!!!!

Jasmine and Andre 7-3-11

Jasmine and Andre had their ceremony at the gorgeous Masonic Temple. The Masonic Temple is breathtaking. I love historic buildings. Not many pictures turned out as it’s dark in the temple but I was able to get a couple.
Jasmine looked like a princess!
The new Mr. and Mrs.!
Their reception was followed at The Whitney. The Whitney is another historic building in Detroit. The rooms are amazing. If you are a regular reader of my blog you have probably noticed I don’t like to say anything bad about vendors. If I love a vendor I will recommend them and let you know how much I love them and on the flip side if I don’t think they were the greatest or something went wrong I usually don’t say so. With that being said I have to mention that The Whitney served dinner two hours late. I only say this because I saw how upset Jasmine was and I tried to do what I could but other than my assistant and I cooking the food ourselves we really did all we could do. By the time guests finished eating there was only 1 ½ hours until the end of the reception and that is not very much time to fit in formal activities and dancing but we did : ) So if you have booked The Whitney or plan on doing so defiantly don’t worry!  I know I have a couple more weddings there this year and I'm actually excited. Knowing what I know now I will be contacting them for weeks leading up to the wedding to make sure the dinner is served on time. I would also suggest against having the servers go table to table to take orders which they did in this case. If you have your guest RSVP with a meal choice that should be what they are getting the night of your event. I believe taking orders is where The Whitney got behind.
Now back to the good stuff...

Here are some pictures of the rooms.
You can see the head table in the far room.
Their cake was so good. I think I had more then one piece...ssshhh! The cake was from Mr.Cakes Place in Ann Arbor. If your still looking for a cake defiantly stop by and check them out.  Jim does wonderful work!
Andre played football for U of M so as you can see his groom's cake it s U of M football helmet. He loved it!
Seeing how the mansion has a unique set up with guest being seated throughout the house we decided to have the grand entrances outside so all the guests could see. They entered from the back of the garden and headed to the deck where they had their formal dances.
Jasmine and Andre had a wonderful photographer, PeleBrowner.
Congratulations Jasmine and Andre you were pleasure to work with!

Allison and Chris 7-2-11

Allison and Chris had a beautiful ceremony at the Matthaei Botanical Gardens in Ann Arbor even though  it was one of the hottest days of the year : ) Their ceremony flowers were provided by Flowers by Heidi. Allison and Chris also had a very talented piano player, Patrick from Panache Entertainment. I highly recommend him.

Their reception was at Weber’s Inn in Ann Arbor. I was surprised when I arrived at Weber’s and saw the complete renovation that they have done over the past couple of years. The last time I was there was about 2 ½ years ago and I love the transformation! It went from a old word traditional style to a modern hip location. I also LOVED the staff. They were so accommodating and helpful.
I also loved their escort cards. You can tell a lot of time and love went into handwriting each one.
The reception room looked wonderful. I loved Allison’s color choices. Linen, chaircovers, chargers and centerpieces were provided by Stephanie’s Wedding Creations. Stephanie did a great job bringing the room together. Unfortunately the bride was upset with the centerpieces as they were supposed to be real flowers vs. artificial.
I thought the number wraps were so cute.
The candy buffet was really cute too. I loved that is was in their wedding colors. Like always the guest loved the candy buffet.
The cake….oh how I loved the cake! The cake was provided by Weber’s.
The Flowers were amazing!
Not only was it picture perfect it tasted delicious.
Other key vendors include Josh from Big Foot DJ who did a great job keeping the dance floor packed and Kim from Bridal Beauty on Location. I would and do recommend Kim all the time. I cannot say enough positive things about Kim. Her work is absolutely amazing. And we can’t forget to mention the incredibly talented Amy Boeve. I was so excited to work with Amy again. Not only is she an amazing photographer she is one of the sweetest most fun photographers ever : )
Congratulations Allison and Chris! Thank you for letting me be a part of your special day!
