Jennifer and Justin 6-27-15

Jennifer is just the sweetest bride ever! I actually went to school with Jen and one of my GJE girls was in the wedding and another was a guest, so this wedding was dear to our hearts but with that said this was the one and only time I have ever had a wedding where if something could go wrong it did! ...we can laugh now but it was crazy the day of...

The wedding was at Fort Gratiot Lighthouse in Port Huron, a gorgeous location. The ceremony was supposed to take place on the water but a 70 mph storm decided to come!!! So we had to move the ceremony under the tent.

But let's back up....you can see in the picture below the tables were set for 8. I was told the night before from the bride that she visited the site and the caterers/rental company had everything set and ready to go... but unfortunately the tables should have been 10 tops so after the ceremony we had to brave the winds to get the chairs that were just about blowing away near the water, wipe them down and make 10 tops. Normally not a problem but seeing how the guests had to be under the tent because of the storm it made for a crowed  experiencing but EVERYONE got a seat and a place seating  : )

As the ceremony started....literally the groom just walked down the aisle...the Best Man realized he forgot the rings at the hotel. Of course I went to get them but this wasn't possible until after the ceremony since the groom was already down the aisle. Thankfully I found some stand in rings from some fabulous friends/guests and the ceremony went on.

After the ceremony the caterer who came recommend from the venue was terrible. (See above, first the tables were set wrong) but the food was beyond late. A quick shuffle of the timeline and we were able to move the formal dances before dinner to buy him time to finish cooking the food. Luckily things worked out and we made it seem like that was the plan to begin with  : )

But you know what is great about it all...this picture right here! I'll be honest, shit happens at every wedding, usually the bride/groom, families and friends just never know about it. This is the extreme but at the end of the day these two wonderful people said I DO and had a great time with their guests...plus amazing fun memories. Like the bathroom trailer that was almost tipping over from the winds, lol.
