Jenny and Paul had their reception at Cobblestone Farm in Ann Arbor. Cobblestone is a great location but needs a lot of set up to make it come to life. Because there was so much set up I did not oversee the ceremony, instead I spent hours bringing Jenny’s visions of the perfect wedding reception to life.
Here are a few before pictures:
Here are some of the items that needed to be set up.
My wonderful assistant and I set up until the minute guests started to arrive so I didn’t get the best “after” pictures but here is the room all set up.
I loved the favors! The color is the trees matched her décor perfectly plus it a great favor that your guests will enjoy for years to come.
The personalized wine bottles were amazing. Each table had a bottle of red wine and the label had the table number on it and then a bottle of white wine. The guests loved having wine on the table. This way when they arrived to their set they didn’t have to get back up to go wait in line at the bar.
Here are some of the little details that I loved!
Seating chart
An old closet door that Jenny refinished. This door was placed on the main floor where guest arrived and had little notes reminding them to sign the signature mat, an arrow pointing them that the reception upstairs and the restrooms were around the corner. It was extremely helpful for the guests
I loved this idea! On the branches there were baby and childhood pictures of Jenny and Paul.
A signature mat is always a great alternative to a guest book. After the wedding you can put one of your wedding pictures in the frame and hang it up. Plus you’ll be able to read the well wishes from your family and friends every day.
Bathroom baskets are always a nice touch. Guest truly do appreciate them.
I loved that they had monogram towels in the bathroom too!
Jenny and Paul did not have a traditional cake. Instead they had a small cake to cut but they served pies instead.
And here is Paul's Red Wings cake.
And since it was also Jenny's birthday here is Jenny's birthday cake.
Here is the pie stand that had a few pies on it. When it came time to serve the pies the caterer had so many different kinds of pies to choose from. A few that I remember were cherry, French silk and key lime but there were about 6 other options! Chef Tony not only did a great job on the pies but all the food was remarkable! I highly recommend him!
And a birthday is not complete without a birthday gift! Paul surprised Jenny with her very own 4-wheeler.
Music was provided by Uncle Buck DJ. Rentals were from A1 Rental. Bouquets were created by Carol Blackmon. I have worked with Carol before and she always does an excellent job!
Usually at the end of the night I pack up everything into a family member’s vehicle but because there was so much I packed everything back into my vehicle and drop it off at Jenny and Paul’s house that night.
Congratulations Jenny and Paul! Your wedding was amazing!
